why choose uslaptop battery

Welcome to BestLaptopBattery.ca !
When you are out looking for a brand new laptop battery for your laptop, there are certain things you need to take into account. With that said, the number of cells in the battery pack should not be one of them. The compatibility between a laptop and a battery pack is not determined by the amount of cells the laptop battery pack has inside. In addition, the amount of cells is insignificant when comparing the capacity of battery packs, since the cells within them could vary in capacity pack to pack.

How to discharge and charge laptop battery ?

A typical charge and discharge cycle is as follow:
1. Install your newly laptop battery into your laptop
2. Disconnect the AC adapter and use your laptop until it itself shuts down. In this situation, the battery is fully discharged.
3. Connect the AC adapter and your laptop battery should start charging.
4. Charge until the battery is full.
Repeat this charge and discharge cycle a few times and your battery pack will be conditioned to perform at full capacity.
Note: Please do not overdischarge and overcharge your battery.

The New Battery Isn't Charging. Is it defective battery ?

New batteries are shipped in a discharged condition or with very low capacity and must charged before use. We generally recommend an overnight charge (approximately twelve hours). Refer to the user's manual for charging instructions. Rechargeable laptop batteries should be cycled (fully charged and then fully discharged) three to five times initially to allow them to reach their full capacity. (Note: it is normal for a battery to become warm to the touch during charging and discharging).
Note: New batteries are hard for the device to charge; they have never been fully charged and are therefore "unformed". Sometimes the device's charger will stop charging a new laptop battery before it is fully charged. If this happens, remove the battery from the device and then reinsert it. The charge cycle should begin again. This may happen several times during the first laptop battery charge. Don't worry; it's perfectly normal.

How to Extend Your Laptop's Battery Life

Laptops tend to lose their charm quickly when you're constantly looking for the nearest power outlet to charge up. How do you keep your battery going for as long as possible? Here are 5 easy ways to do so. Hopefully it would be a little help for you!
1. Defrag regularly - The faster your hard drive does its work - less demand you are going to put on the hard drive and your laptop battery. Make your hard drive as efficient as possible by defragging it regularly. (but not while it's on battery of course!) Mac OSX is better built to handle fragmentation so it may not be very applicable for Apple systems.
2. Dim your screen - Most laptops come with the ability to dim your laptop screen. Some even come with ways to modify CPU and cooling performance. Cut them down to the lowest level you can tolerate to squeeze out some extra laptop battery juice.
3. Cut down on programs running in the background. Itunes, Desktop Search, etc. All these add to the CPU load and cut down battery life. Shut down everything that isn't crucial when you're on laptop battery.
4. Cut down external devices - USB devices (including your mouse) & WiFi drain down your laptop battery. Remove or shut them down when not in use. It goes without saying that charging other devices (like your iPod) with your laptop when on battery is a surefire way of quickly wiping out the charge on your laptop battery.
5. Add more RAM - This will allow you to process more with the memory your laptop has, rather than relying on virtual memory. Virtual memory results in hard drive use, and is much less power efficient. Note that adding more RAM will consume more energy, so this is most applicable if you do need to run memory intensive programs which actually require heavy usage of virtual memory.
